Trump emphasized the importance of School Choice as the civil rights issue of our time, promising to protect parental rights and support educational freedom if he becomes President once again.

According to the Washington Examiner, parental rights are a central topic for Sen. Tim Scott, who has highlighted the significance of education in his political campaigns.

Trump’s statement echoes Scott’s remarks from National School Choice Week last January, where Scott emphasized the importance of quality education as the greatest civil rights issue of our time.

Scott is rumored to be a potential candidate for Trump’s running mate in the 2024 presidential election, having recently attended a GOP fundraising event hosted by the former president in Florida.

Trump has not yet released a list of potential vice presidential picks.
