Plane Crashes in Philadelphia Neighborhood, Multiple Casualties Reported – One America News Network

A small aircraft crashed near Roosevelt Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Friday night, resulting in multiple reported casualties.

The plane went down just after 6 p.m. on Friday, triggering a significant explosion that ignited multiple fires in nearby homes.
“Major incident near Cottman and Bustleton Avenues in Northeast Philadelphia, opposite Roosevelt Mall,” posted the City of Philadelphia on X. “Roads in the area, including parts of Roosevelt Boulevard, are closed. Please avoid the area.”
According to CBS News, the aircraft was carrying two individuals.
Authorities have yet to determine whether the passengers on board were able to eject from the plane. However, other officials have indicated to the press that it is presumed the two did not survive the crash.
The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time, but video footage captures the chaos in a nearby mall parking lot, with first responders rushing to the scene.
This incident comes in the wake of a serious plane crash in the Washington, D.C. area, where an Army Black Hawk Helicopter collided with a commercial American Airlines flight, resulting in the deaths of 67 individuals on board.
