Political Science Professor Predicts Decrease in Voter Turnout for 2020
According to Michael McDonald, a professor of political science at the University of Florida and the head of the U.S. Elections Project, he predicts that voter turnout for the 2024 election will be lower than in 2020. McDonald anticipates a Voter Eligible Population (VEP) turnout rate of 64.7%, which is slightly lower than the 66.4% rate seen in 2020.
