Poll: Trump Maintains Significant Lead in Iowa
Former President Donald Trump continues to lead the 2024 Republican presidential primary field in Iowa with 42% support, according to a new poll. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis comes in second at 19% and Sen. Tim Scott at 9%. Trump’s lead is the largest since former President George W. Bush in 2000. However, many respondents said they are open to considering other candidates, and 52% said they could change their minds. The first Republican National Committee debate is set to take place in Milwaukee, but Trump has announced that he will not be participating.
