Rabbi and NY Panel Event Canceled by Group, RFK Jr. Tells Newsmax

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s event with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach was canceled by the New York Society for Ethical Culture less than 24 hours before it was supposed to take place. Kennedy believes the cancellation was due to pressure on the organization, as he considers the event to be a presidential forum. Kennedy has faced criticism for suggesting that COVID-19 could be a bioweapon targeting specific ethnic groups, including white and Black people. He later clarified on Twitter that he never suggested the virus targeted Jews. Boteach defended Kennedy, stating that stifling freedom of speech goes against American values. Kennedy called the cancellation another example of political censorship against his campaign. Earlier, over 100 Democratic members of Congress opposed his appearance before a House committee due to his controversial comments on COVID-19 and race. Kennedy is known for being an anti-vaccine activist.
