Rasmussen Poll: 28% Admit to Considering Voter Fraud
A recent national survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports and The Heartland Institute has found that 28% of likely voters are willing to engage in illegal voting activities to support their preferred candidate in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
The survey revealed that there is little deviation among voters of different candidates, with 27% of President Joe Biden’s supporters, 29% of former President Donald Trump’s supporters, and 25% of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s supporters expressing their readiness to engage in voter fraud.
These findings follow a previous survey conducted in December, which found that over 20% of voters who used mail-in ballots in the 2020 election admitted to participating in some form of election fraud.
In the latest survey, 18% of likely voters stated that they would fill out and sign their spouse’s or trusted family member’s mail-in ballot, while 17% would do the same for a coworker or acquaintance, and 14% for a close friend.
Additionally, 9% indicated that they would alter the candidate selections on a mail-in ballot belonging to a friend or family member without their knowledge.
Furthermore, 10% expressed their willingness to engage in activities such as voting in multiple states, paying another voter for their vote, and providing misleading information about the election to help their preferred candidate win.
All of these actions would constitute federal crimes.
Justin Haskins, director of the Socialism Research Center at The Heartland Institute, commented on the survey results, stating that both Democrats and Republicans are willing to engage in illegal voting and criminal activities to hinder political opposition. Haskins also emphasized the need for state lawmakers to implement election integrity policies to prevent cheating in future elections.
The survey results showed that 45% of voters would vote for Trump, 36% for Biden, 11% for Kennedy, and 4% for another candidate, with 3% undecided.
The survey, which polled 1,467 likely U.S. voters, was conducted from April 5-10 by Rasmussen Reports and the Heartland Institute, with a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points and a 95% level of confidence.
