Republican Congressman Mark Alford is calling on the Biden administration to provide a clear strategy for ending the war in Ukraine before approving more aid to Kyiv. Alford claims that the Democrat-controlled Congress has already approved $113 billion in aid to Ukraine, with only $26 billion of military aid spent so far. President Biden has asked Congress to pass a supplemental bill of $20.6 billion in assistance to Ukraine, but Alford believes that the administration should spend the money they already have before asking for more. Alford expresses concern that the Biden administration has not provided any guidance on what it will take for Ukraine to declare victory in the conflict with Russia. He argues that more clarity is needed before approving further aid.
