Rep. Bacon Raises Concerns about China’s Hacking Activities in Retaliation for Stance on Taiwan and Uyghurs, Says Newsmax
Rep. Don Bacon, a Republican from Nebraska, believes that China hacked his emails due to his opposition to the country’s treatment of Uyghurs, Tibetans, and Taiwan. The FBI informed Bacon that his email account had been compromised by Chinese spies and that the Chinese Communist Party had access to his emails for about one month. Bacon stated that the FBI confirmed that others had also been hacked but did not specify who. He believes that China was searching for embarrassing emails and if they had found anything, it would have been leaked by now.
