Arizona GOP Representative Andy Biggs reached out to FBI Director Kash Patel, urging an investigation into ActBlue, the primary fundraising branch for the Democrat Party.

In his correspondence, Biggs (R-Ariz) pointed out that the Treasury Department uncovered “hundreds of questionable transactions with ActBlue, flagged by banks” during former Democrat President Joe Biden’s tenure.

“In 2024, President Biden’s Treasury noted numerous suspicious transactions involving ActBlue reported by banks,” Biggs stated on Thursday, mentioning that the platform has successfully raised over “$16 billion for progressive initiatives since 2004. However, it seems the platform has been exploited to evade federal campaign finance regulations.”

On his official site, Biggs claimed that there are “accusations of foreign funds coming from China, Russia, Iran, and Venezuela,” which raises alarms about foreign interference in U.S. elections.

Biggs also mentioned that 19 state attorneys general “are looking into allegations of fraud, money laundering, unauthorized use of credit and debit cards, and unusual contribution patterns.”

“It is crucial to stress that if these allegations prove accurate, they would pose a significant risk to the integrity of our elections and the rights of American citizens. The seriousness of the claims and their ramifications necessitate an exhaustive and robust inquiry by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. We strongly advocate for an investigation into ActBlue,” he added.

Last October, House Republicans had already issued a subpoena concerning ActBlue to “address loopholes in our campaign finance framework.”

In response, ActBlue representatives declared that the investigation was “merely a partisan political assault and a tactic to undermine the influence of Democratic and progressive small-dollar contributors. We are prepared to address these frivolous accusations.”

In his latest letter, Biggs indicated that the Biden administration had previously “obstructed” efforts to investigate.

“The U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Committee on House Administration have been probing these misconduct allegations. However, the former Administration has stalled access to essential records. This week, Oversight Chairman Comer and Administration Chairman Stiles have renewed their appeals with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent,” Biggs elaborated.

Additionally, Representative Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) requested the Trump administration to look into “credible allegations,” while claiming that ActBlue facilitated “entities linked to terrorism” to use its platform.

“Despite detailed reports and reasonable suspicions that our country’s laws have been compromised, the Biden-Harris Treasury Department declined to properly address these serious exposures,” Issa wrote this week.

“The undeniable and ongoing collaboration between ActBlue Charities and organizations associated with terrorism constitutes a facilitation of terrorism and may also represent crimes of money laundering,” he added.

“Moreover, the blatant failure of progressive organizations to address the appearance of circumventing an entire spectrum of our laws — or to denounce the heinous acts of Hamas and the BDS movement — raises significant concerns if the activities and collaborations of ActBlue and ActBlue Charities are indeed part of a broader effort to finance and enable attacks against Israel and Jewish communities in America and worldwide.”
