Rep. Bob Good urges Newsmax to push for Judge Merchan to dismiss case

The argument against former President Donald Trump should be dismissed by Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan based on Michael Cohen’s testimony, Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., told Newsmax on Tuesday.

Cohen confessed on Monday to stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the Trump Organization. He also confessed to lying under oath in the past and served time in prison for lying to Congress from May 2019 to November 2021.

“Michael Cohen has now admitted to being a repeated perjurer, lying under oath multiple times – and now we discover he’s guilty of grand larceny,” Good said on “Wake Up America.” “You would expect, as they do on TV, for the judge to say, ‘Case dismissed, arrest the witness here.’

The jury was very attentive, Good noted from his time in the courtroom, observing that “you could see them really paying attention.

“I believe this jury, some of whom may say, ‘There is no reason for this trial to proceed, we cannot convict, there is no evidence.’

“And even in New York City, I think there will be a jury that will not reach a conviction.”
