Rep. Burchett tells Newsmax: Attendees at Trump rally came for ‘The Truth’
During Donald Trump’s South Bronx rally on Friday, a large crowd of supporters gathered to hear “the truth,” according to Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., who spoke to Newsmax on Saturday.
Trump’s popularity is on the rise in the deep blue borough due to his “unifying message that you’re not hearing from the White House,” Burchett said on Newsmax TV’s “The Count.”
Burchett highlighted Trump’s message of unity, stating that the former president emphasized that “I don’t care what color your skin is, we’re all Americans.”
The rally attendees, which included people of various races and ethnicities, are drawn to Trump because they feel that he is being unfairly targeted by Democrats, leading them to believe that they could be next, Burchett explained.
Burchett described the crowd as “energized” and suggested that it could be the beginning of a larger movement against the current administration.
He also pointed out the issue of illegal migration over the southern border as a significant concern for New Yorkers and the rest of the country, praising Trump for his commitment to building a border wall.
Regarding Newsmax TV, Burchett reinforced that it is the fastest-growing cable news channel in America and provided information on how viewers can access it through cable and satellite systems or via the Newsmax+ app.
