Rep. Burchett tells Newsmax that Hunter Biden is avoiding oversight testimony
Hunter Biden is looking to “run out the clock” amidst a House Oversight Committee investigation into an impeachment inquiry involving his father, President Joe Biden. Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., told Newsmax on Friday that the probe aims to challenge Hunter Biden and his associates at a hearing.
Burchett explained on “Wake Up America” that Hunter Biden’s attorney won’t be present at the public hearing, leaving him at a disadvantage in providing detailed information.
“All those individuals, including former business partner Bobulinski, can provide specific details, but Hunter may not have that capability without his attorney present,” Burchett noted. “He never anticipated being put in this position, but we called his bluff, and he is simply trying to delay.”
Regarding Hunter Biden’s decision not to testify publicly on March 20, Burchett stated that they wouldn’t want to face the three or four individuals who would be present alongside him during the hearing.
Burchett also commented on the resignation of Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., and the decision of Rep. Lauren Boebert to not seek his seat, emphasizing Boebert’s conservative principles.
Additionally, Burchett expressed disappointment in the resignation of Rep. Kevin McCarthy from Congress, citing financial motives over public service.
