Rep. Burlinson tells Newsmax: Americans believe Trump’s NYC trial is a ‘sham’

Representative Eric Burlinson, who stood by Donald Trump in court last week, criticized the ongoing trial in New York City on Newsmax Saturday, calling it a “sham” and a “disturbing moment in American history.”

Burlinson, a Republican from Missouri, expressed hope for Trump’s acquittal and urged for reforms in the judicial system to restore sanity. He emphasized the sacrifices Trump has made for the country.

The charges against Trump, accusing him of falsifying business records, were described by Burlinson as an attempt by District Attorney Alvin Bragg to create a crime. He criticized the judge for bias and unfairness in the trial.

Burlinson also praised Trump’s decision not to testify, and highlighted the support the former president received in New York City, especially during a recent rally in the Bronx.
