Rep. Burlison Accuses Biden of Attempting to Activate the Media
Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., told Newsmax on Wednesday that President Joe Biden is “trying to activate … the mainstream media” to oppose House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry.
The White House is reportedly planning on sending a letter to the top executives at various news outlets urging “the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies,” according to CNN.
Burlison, reacting to news of the letter on “National Report,” said, “I think that what the Democratic Party and what the Biden administration is doing is trying to activate a wing of their party, which is the mainstream media, to criticize this. But the truth, the facts do not lie, okay, and the truth is the person that’s lying all along is Joe Biden.”
He continued, “Here’s a guy who said that he never talked with his son about business dealings. We now know that … that’s a complete lie. He talked to over 20 different … business associates of Hunter Biden. We now know that he was using aliases and sending emails to Hunter Biden’s firm.”
Burlison said, “Joe Biden … said that, that they never took money from China. If you remember that during the debate … we now know that they indeed took money from a Chinese energy company to the tune of millions of dollars. He said that they never did anything of this activity while he was vice president. And now we know that’s also a lie because all of the transactions, most of them occurred during the time that he was vice president.”
