Rep. Cammack Warns Dems on Newsmax: Rejecting Mayorkas Trial Would be a Mistake

Speaking on Newsmax, Rep. Kat Cammack warned Senate Democrats against dismissing or tabling the articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, saying they would do so “at their own peril.”

She noted that the American people, regardless of their state, are concerned about issues at the border and immigration due to President Joe Biden’s failure to secure the border. Cammack believes that moving to dismiss these articles would be a mistake.

She emphasized the importance of holding Mayorkas accountable for his actions, including lying to Congress, as highlighted in a report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform which revealed the costs of illegal immigration to taxpayers.

Furthermore, Cammack criticized the current spending levels in the face of growing national debt and inflation, stressing the need for fiscal responsibility and accountability in government.

She also discussed the push for foreign aid bills by House Speaker Mike Johnson and highlighted the importance of border security in any legislation passed.

Camack expressed doubts about Biden’s commitment to border security and the rule of law, emphasizing the need for conservative wins to steer the country in the right direction.
