Rep. Fry expresses doubt about Russian disinformation claims in Newsmax interview
House Oversight Committee member Rep. Russell Fry, R-S.C., expressed doubt on Newsmax about national security adviser Jake Sullivan’s concerns regarding Russian interference in the 2024 presidential election.
During an interview with “Eric Bolling The Balance,” Fry referenced Sullivan’s appearance on “Meet the Press” on Sunday, stating, “We all remember the Durham report from last year, which clearly debunked the claims of Russian collusion in 2016.”
“The American people have witnessed how baseless accusations can be made against a presidential candidate, such as the conspiracy theory that” former President Donald Trump “was colluding with Russia, which ultimately proved to be false,” the congressman added.
