Rep. Greg Steube declares to Newsmax that Sen. Rick Scott would be an excellent leader for GOP in Senate

According to Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., would make an excellent replacement for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., when he steps down. Steube expressed his thoughts on Newsmax.

Steube believes that the Senate needs a conservative leader in such a powerful position, stating during an interview on “Wake Up America” that Scott would bring a more conservative approach compared to McConnell.

He also emphasized the importance of having younger members in Congress leading the chambers, noting that over 65% of recent House members were elected during or after Trump’s presidency, bringing an America-first agenda to Capitol Hill.

Steube expressed his support for a potential Trump-Scott ticket in the White House race, highlighting the diversity it could bring to the Republican ticket in terms of support and conservative values.
