Rep. Jordan tells Newsmax that Garland lacks understanding of America

Attorney General Merrick Garland’s testimony on Tuesday revealed a frightening lack of understanding about the foundation of the United States, according to Chair of the House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, in an interview with Newsmax on Tuesday night.

During an appearance on “Greg Kelly Reports,” Jordan compared Garland’s attitude to that of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who referred to the First Amendment as “hamstringing” the government’s ability to censor online content in the Murthy v. Missouri case.

“This is America. You’re supposed to criticize your government. This is the essence of the First Amendment,” Jordan emphasized, disagreeing with Garland’s stance. “Every liberty we have under the First Amendment is being threatened by the Biden administration and the left.”
