Rep. Malliotakis Tells Newsmax: Biden Has ‘Undone’ Trump’s Progress
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., criticized President Joe Biden for reversing the extensive progress made during the Trump administration.
“President Trump utilized his authority to secure our border,” she stated on Friday on Newsmax’s “Wake Up America.” “Then President Biden came in and reversed 60 orders, erasing the advancements that had been achieved.
“This is why we are facing a severe illegal immigration crisis in cities like mine, New York, where we have witnessed incidents such as the shooting of two police officers and numerous other crimes, including murder. We can reverse this immediately if President Trump is re-elected.”
Malliotakis also expressed her belief that Russian warships would not be so close to the U.S. if Trump were still in office.
A U.S. Navy submarine reached Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as a demonstration of strength while a group of Russian warships gathered for planned military exercises in the Caribbean, according to the Associated Press.
“As a Cuban American, I am deeply concerned,” Malliotakis said. “This was one of the issues raised by President Trump during his meeting with Republican congressional leaders. I believe most Americans understand that if he were in office today, this situation would not be occurring. This is another example of how the Biden administration has appeased our adversaries. Remember, on their very first day, they approved the Nord Stream 2 pipeline that benefits Russia.
“They also halted our own Keystone pipeline. This is just one more instance. It is happening globally. We are relying on Venezuela for oil, which is dirtier compared to what we were producing in the U.S., which was cleaner. The same is happening with Iran. By lifting waivers and sanctions, we are enriching Iran. This is why we see the ongoing attacks on Israel, which has now escalated into war. There is a clear distinction between President Trump’s strategy of peace through strength and the appeasement approach of this administration.”
