Rep. Meuser Blames Biden for Philadelphia’s Drug Crisis in Interview with Newsmax
Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Pa., attributes the drug crisis in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood to the “sick socialist experiment by the Biden administration and the extreme left running these cities.”
“From Mayor Cherelle Parker’s crackdown claims to District Attorney Larry Krasner’s low prosecution rates for violent criminals, along with the defunding of police, all contribute to the situation,” Meuser said during an appearance on Newsmax “American Agenda.”
He emphasized the impact of open borders on the influx of drugs, including the dangerous “zombie drug” or rhino tranq, and criticized Secretary Mayorkas, President Biden, and Vice President Harris for labeling their actions as humanitarian when they are not.
According to Philadelphia health officials, the powerful veterinary sedative medetomidine has been detected in the illicit drug supply, leading to a health alert. Kensington’s open-air drug market is one of the largest in the country, and opioid overdoses in Philadelphia have been increasing annually since 2018.
