Rep. Mills tells Newsmax that the Senate Foreign Aid Bill will not be approved by the House
The Senate’s approval of a $95 billion foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, and Taiwan is unlikely to pass the House, according to Rep. Cory Mills in an interview with Newsmax on Tuesday.
“I am hopeful that this is dead on arrival,” the Florida Republican told “Wake Up America,” insisting that “the Senate’s priorities are certainly not on America First. They are more on trying to securing everyone else’s borders, including Ukraine’s, which we already see has widespread corruption.”
Mills emphasized his focus on representing and protecting the American people, especially with 8.5 million people illegally crossing the southern border into the United States. He also agreed with Sen. J.D Vance’s description of the Senate bill as an impeachment time bomb, due to its potential impact on future administrations.
With the national deficit at $34 trillion, Mills stressed the need to prioritize domestic issues such as national defense, border security, economic growth, and energy independence, rather than focusing on foreign aid to Ukraine.
When asked about the possibility of passing foreign aid in a different form, Mills reiterated that the focus should be on America’s needs.
