US Congressman Greg Murphy, a Republican from North Carolina, has stated that House Republicans are taking allegations of influence peddling by President Joe Biden seriously. Murphy criticized previous impeachment efforts against former President Donald Trump led by Nancy Pelosi, stating that impeachment should not be pursued lightly. He expressed the need for an airtight case, backed by evidence such as email and telephone records, to prove that Biden sold his office for personal gain. Murphy expects an impeachment inquiry to happen soon. He dismissed claims that Republicans have not provided evidence tying Biden to wrongdoing and criticized the media for not giving sufficient coverage to allegations against Biden’s son, Hunter.
