Rep. Nicole Malliotakis accuses someone of lying to Congress about COVID Pandemic, in interview with Newsmax

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., expressed her concern on Monday that “someone is lying” to the Select Subcommittee for the Coronavirus Pandemic, vowing to investigate and “get to the bottom of this” in an interview with Newsmax.

During a congressional session where she questioned Anthony Fauci, the former chief pandemic adviser to the president, Malliotakis accused Fauci of suppressing information regarding the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which caused the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Dr. Fauci has completely changed his stance on the lab leak theory,” she told “Newsline.” “He initially dismissed the lab leak theory as a conspiracy, but recent testimony revealed that he now believes it’s a valid possibility.”

Malliotakis pointed out inconsistencies in Fauci’s statements, particularly referencing emails from Fauci’s former senior adviser suggesting a secret communication channel to avoid transparency laws.

“There is a discrepancy between what Dr. Fauci and his advisor are saying,” Malliotakis stated. “We need to uncover the truth.” She also criticized Fauci and the CDC for spreading misinformation during the pandemic.

Malliotakis raised concerns about the financial ties between NIH scientists and pharmaceutical companies, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability in taxpayer-funded research.
