Rep. Van Drew Says Impeachment Inquiry Was Conducted ‘Properly’ in Interview with Newsmax

The Republican Party is conducting a formal impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden in a precise and proper manner, Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., told Newsmax on Monday.

“We’re doing this the right way,” Van Drew said on Newsmax’s “Newsline.” “We are crossing all T’s dotting all I’s” after the House voted last week along party lines to authorize the impeachment inquiry.

Van Drew dismissed comments by some GOP congressmen that there was not enough evidence for impeachment, saying that he did not like impeachment, “but there are extreme concerns in so many areas” concerning the president’s behavior and “these are real issues, real smoking guns.”

Van Drew outlined what he considered to be the most suspicious behavior, including that the “Biden family has gotten over $15 million in money from countries like Kazakhstan, Romania, China, Russia, and Ukraine.”

Van Drew pointed out other suspect actions, such as why “Biden’s brother, Jim Biden, got money from a failed hospital corporation, and the minute it was wired to him he signed a check over and sent the same amount, which was $200,000, to Joe Biden, and the company itself said they gave him the $200,000 because they wanted to use the Biden brand.’

Van Drew also said there is further evidence for Biden’s impeachment.

“His son, Hunter Biden, got a special plea deal and it seems like there could have been real interference and efforts to impede the Department of Justice from looking into what Hunter Biden had done,” said Van Drew, adding that “Hunter Biden and his father were on the phone with all kinds of executives from all around the world” peddling their influence.
