Rep. Van Drew Tells Newsmax that now is not the time for a leadership change

Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., believes that now is not the time to change leadership in the House. He argues that removing the speaker at this moment is merely a distraction from the goal of achieving a more conservative majority.

During an appearance on Newsmax‘s “Carl Higbie FRONTLINE,” Van Drew expressed his concerns about recent bills and policies but stressed the importance of focusing on winning the House, Senate, and presidency for real change to occur.

Despite threats from GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie to remove House Speaker Mike Johnson over concerns about Ukraine aid, Van Drew urged everyone to prioritize winning over internal disputes.

He emphasized the need to work towards a strong conservative majority before addressing leadership changes, and reminded everyone to stay focused on the ultimate goal of saving the republic.
