Rep. Van Drew Tells Newsmax: Trump Rally is the ‘Biggest’ in New Jersey Political History

A remarkable turnout of almost 100,000 individuals gathered to show their support for former President Donald Trump in the typically Democratic state of New Jersey. Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., disclosed to Newsmax on Monday that even Trump supporters were taken aback by the massive crowd.

During an appearance on “Wake Up America,” Van Drew proclaimed that the rally held on Saturday was “the largest political rally in the history of the state,” and admitted, “in all honesty, we didn’t know it was going to be this big.”

A representative for the City of Wildwood informed the Associated Press that she estimated the attendance at between 80,000 and 100,000 people.

“When I walked up there and I spoke, the thing that you saw there were Americans from every walk of life,” Van Drew stated.

“They’re believers,” he added. “They have faith in this extraordinary experience, this amazing place that we call the United States and they wanted it to continue.”

“These individuals know deep in their hearts that if we were to lose this, we could lose America,” he asserted, emphasizing that “This is not about keeping or saving the Republican Party. This is about saving the Republic itself.”

The lawmaker described the rally as “peaceful,” as well as both “fun” and “serious.”

“It was everything you could want in a rally,” he remarked. “It was fantastic, and that’s why the mainstream media simply don’t want to talk about it much, because they’ve never seen anything like it before.”

Van Drew forecasted that individuals in New Jersey will vote for Trump based on his previous administration’s success in handling economic issues.

“I’m the campaign chair for New Jersey, I want to do everything possible,” he expressed to Newsmax. “We are going to win this state and we’re going to work hard and we’re going to fight hard … we got to give it everything we got.”
