She mentioned that boys make up a third of the sexual assault victims and called attention to their plight. Van Duyne also criticized the president of Mexico for not acknowledging the issue. According to Customs and Border Protection data, the number of unaccompanied minors caught crossing the border has significantly increased since President Biden took office.
