Representative Bean Urges Newsmax to Take Action Against Anti-Semitism in K-12 Education
Rep. Aaron Bean, R-Fla., told Newsmax on Wednesday that the issue of antisemitism on college campuses actually starts in K-12 schools.
During an appearance on “American Agenda,” Bean discussed the recent hearings on antisemitism held by the House Education and Workforce subcommittee, where leaders from New York City Public Schools, Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland, and the Berkley Unified School District in California testified.
“These school districts took action against antisemitism, something even Harvard couldn’t do,” Bean stated.
Bean highlighted the prevalence of antisemitism in public schools from kindergarten through 12th grade across the country.
“We must acknowledge and address this issue,” Bean emphasized. “It is evil and can lead to serious consequences, such as attacks on our college campuses.”
During the hearings, Bean noted that teachers, students, and faculty expressed concerns about their safety.
“It’s truly unfortunate,” Bean commented. “They struggle to get support from the administration. We have work to do. We need to confront the root causes of this issue and make it clear that we cannot tolerate any form of anti-Semitism.”
