Representative Brecheen tells Newsmax: Illegal Immigrants are a Burden on Society
Rep. Josh Brecheen, R-Okla., discussed the high costs of illegal immigration with Newsmax on Tuesday.
Brecheen, appearing on “American Agenda,” raised concerns about illegal immigrants from Haiti and Cuba receiving work permits, Social Security numbers, and Real IDs without proper vetting.
“You’ve got illegals with very limited vetting getting Real ID compliant driver’s licenses,” Brecheen pointed out.
He also clarified that discussions about immigrant revenue include legal immigrants on visas, not just those who are illegal.
“I thought it was really astounding,” Brecheen commented.
In New York City, Mayor Eric Adams stated that residents may see a 10% to 15% reduction in services due to the migrant situation, according to Brecheen.
“This is a Democrat mayor,” Brecheen noted. “The average American knows this. They are not contributing financially. They are a drain on our society. That has to be factored in.”
