Representative Burchett tells Newsmax that Ukraine is Europe’s War
Rep, Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., stating that Ukraine’s conflict is “Europe’s war,” declared on Newsmax that he will oppose a funding package for the country affected by Russia.
“I will not vote for any more funding for Ukraine,” he stated during an appearance on “Wake Up America.”
He argued that with the funds allocated for Ukraine, the United States could have built the border wall six times, addressed the lead issue in Flint, Michigan multiple times, and even provided a large sum to homeless veterans.
“They have received enough support. This is Europe’s war, let them handle it,” Burchett stated.
The House of Representatives is set to discuss aid for Israel and Ukraine separately this week, as reported by Reuters. This delay in aid is due to Republican Speaker Mike Johnson’s reluctance to consider the $95 billion bipartisan bill passed by the Senate in February, which includes significant funding for both Israel and Ukraine.
Burchett reaffirmed his support for Israel, acknowledging the importance of the Iron Dome in preventing conflict escalation.
He also criticized the anti-Israel protesters who disrupted traffic in several states, calling them “paid protesters.”
