Representative Clay Higgins Tells Newsmax Democrats are Attempting to Conceal the Truth about Mayorkas

Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., spoke to Newsmax on Wednesday and predicted that the Democrats would dismiss the articles of impeachment against Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.

The impeachment trial for Mayorkas is scheduled to commence in the Senate on Wednesday afternoon, with two articles of impeachment against him. One accuses him of willfully and systematically disobeying federal immigration law, while the other alleges that he breached public trust by providing false information to Congress and obstructing congressional oversight proceedings.

During an appearance on “Wake Up America,” Higgins suggested that if Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., does what is right, a fair trial could take place where evidence for and against the articles of impeachment can be presented.

Higgins also expressed skepticism about Schumer’s intentions, suggesting that the Senate Majority Leader might follow the Democratic Party’s agenda to conceal the truth from the public.

Schumer has indicated that he wants the Senate to handle the impeachment swiftly, with reports suggesting that Democrats may move to dismiss the charges through a majority vote.
