Representative Crenshaw Discusses Parachute Jump in Normandy as Tribute to WWII Veterans on Newsmax

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of World War II veterans who participated in the D-Day invasion by parachuting into Normandy, France on the 80^th anniversary of the historic event. Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL with multiple military honors, was joined by a group of House lawmakers who are also military veterans for the commemorative jump.

The lawmakers, including Jason Crow, Michael Waltz, Ronny Jackson, Rich McCormick, Mark Green, Cory Mills, Darrell Issa, and Keith Self, jumped from a C-47 Skytrain aircraft from the World War II era to honor the servicemembers who bravely made a similar jump behind enemy lines.

Crenshaw reflected on the experience, acknowledging the incredible bravery of the young soldiers who landed in Normandy and played a crucial role in liberating the world. He emphasized the lasting impact of their actions on American leadership and prosperity over the past 80 years.

While in Normandy, Crenshaw expressed his admiration for the World War II veterans, praising them as the “Greatest Generation” and acknowledging their significant contributions to American society following the war.
