Representative Gaetz Tells Newsmax that Failure to Secure Border Deal Will Result in Loss for Entire Majority

Rep. Matt Gaetz stated on Newsmax Sunday that it was “definitely worth” ousting former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy last year. He believes that more Republicans, including Speaker Mike Johnson, will find themselves out of work if a spending deal that includes border security is not reached.

Gaetz, a Florida Republican, claimed that Johnson was able to claw back over $20 billion of McCarthy’s secret side deals that were perceived as corrupt. He emphasized that if a border security deal isn’t reached, the entire Republican majority will be at risk of losing their jobs, as the American people expect their representatives to stand up and fight for their interests.

Gaetz also criticized the national media for their rage and failure to address people’s problems. He believes that Americans want answers and results, particularly when it comes to border security. Gaetz expressed his support for President Trump’s tough stance on drug dealers and predicted that Trump could get over 50% of the voters in New Hampshire, with the help of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s efforts to attract independents and Democrats to the primary.
