Representative Kiggans tells Newsmax that Middle East tension is a result of Biden’s failures
According to Rep. Jen Kiggans, President Joe Biden and his administration have exhibited “failed foreign policy since day one” by showing weakness on the world stage. This has led to the current situation the United States is facing in the Middle East. Kiggans made these comments on Newsmax Sunday.
Kiggans, a Virginia Republican, stated on Newsmax’s “Sunday Report” that the Biden administration’s weak foreign policy started with the chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal, which conveyed a message to the world that the administration would not be strong on foreign policy.
She added that since then, Russia has invaded Ukraine, China has increased aggression in the South China Sea, and Israel is at war with Hamas.
Kiggans also criticized the Biden administration for making poor foreign policy choices, particularly in continuing to coddle enemies like Iran. She emphasized the need for better cracking down to address the root of the problem and the importance of a sustained deterrence effort.
Kiggans also discussed plans for more airstrikes against Iran-backed terrorists, acknowledging the goal of deterring war through strength. However, she criticized the administration for its actions related to funding terrorist organizations and for removing some organizations from the federal watch list.
She expressed a desire for a Republican leader in the White House to restore a strong foreign policy and expressed frustration over Biden’s representation of the United States on the world stage.
Kiggans also highlighted the importance of upcoming elections and urged voters to pay attention to the administration’s actions.
