Representative Neal Dunn Tells Newsmax: Washington D.C. Campus Protest Response Comes ‘Too Little, Too Late’
Congressman Neal Dunn, an alumnus of George Washington University, expressed his dismay over the protesters who defaced a statue of George Washington, the nation’s first president. Dunn criticized the lack of timely leadership in dealing with campus protests in Washington, D.C., calling it “too little, too late.” He emphasized the importance of the right to protest and free speech but condemned actions that involved occupying buildings, destroying property, or putting people at risk.
Dunn also criticized the failed attempt by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson, noting that over 90% of the House of Representatives opposed the motion. Despite a few Republicans defecting, the motion was soundly defeated, which Dunn found encouraging.
