Representative Perry tells Newsmax that protests are sparked by those who have a negative view of America
Rep. Scott Perry, R-Penn., expressed on Friday that the protests seen on U.S. college campuses are a result of bringing individuals who harbor hatred towards America into the country.
“Unfortunately, our options are limited,” Perry shared with Newsmax’s “American Agenda” regarding the Biden administration’s considerations of assisting Palestinians in the U.S. to reunite with their family from the conflict-ridden region.
“We did have other possibilities when it came to federal government funding and had the leverage to prevent these actions,” he added.
Perry also emphasized the importance of being cautious when allowing individuals from Gaza into the United States. He mentioned that most individuals in Gaza support violent attacks and massacres, making it essential to consider the implications of their presence in America, especially evident in the protests on college campuses.
Discussions are ongoing within the White House regarding potential measures to aid legal permanent residents or U.S. citizens with family in the Gaza region, struggling to leave due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
