Representative Phillips discusses with Newsmax the significant impact of anti-Israel campus protests

Rep. Dean Phillips, D-Minn., a former challenger to President Joe Biden for the Democrat presidential nomination, spoke to Newsmax on Monday about the crisis of consequence facing student protesters in anti-Israel demonstrations on college campuses nationwide.

Phillips emphasized the need for accountability and consequences, especially in educational institutions, while still upholding the right to free speech. He expressed concern about the lack of empathy for both Palestinians and Israelis affected by the ongoing conflicts.

He criticized the support for terrorist organizations and highlighted the impact of social media, particularly platforms like TikTok, in spreading antisemitic and anti-Zionist ideas among young people.

Phillips stressed the importance of unity and coming together to combat divisive tactics used by adversaries to undermine the strength of the United States.
