Representative Tenney Tells Newsmax: 51 Former Intelligence Officers Accused of Deliberately Lying

Representative Claudia Tenney from New York spoke to Newsmax and stated that the 51 former intelligence officers who dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation should face consequences. She believes they should lose their security clearance and be tried for knowingly spreading lies to interfere with the election and undermine the President of the United States.

On October 14, 2020, news emerged about a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, containing emails regarding his family’s foreign business dealings and revealing photos. Five days later, 51 former intelligence officials signed an open letter claiming that the laptop was part of a Russian information operation.

Recently, the FBI confirmed in court that the laptop and its contents were indeed authentic.

Tenney, who serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, pointed out that none of the 51 former intelligence officers faced consequences, with some still holding security clearance and one even having a job on television.

She specifically mentioned John Brennan, who is now a commentator on CNN, and called for legal action against all individuals who knowingly spread false information under Section 1001 of the federal code.

Tenney emphasized the damaging impact of the false information surrounding the laptop on the 2020 election results and the country as a whole.
