Representative Tim Burchett suggests possibility of hung jury in Trump trial during Newsmax interview
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., shared his perspective on the possibility of a hung jury in former President Donald Trump’s legal expense trial this week on Newsmax.
Burchett expressed his belief that there are members on the jury who may have reasonable doubt or common sense to see through the fabricated nature of the case against the former president.
He described the case as a miscarriage of justice that the American public is starting to recognize.
Burchett emphasized that minorities, who have historically faced injustices in the legal system, are also taking notice and are finding themselves drawn towards President Trump as a result.
Despite the jury having time off before the closing arguments, Burchett mentioned that there may have been discussions about the case among them, which is against the court’s orders.
He remained optimistic, stating that he believes justice will prevail and that some jury members will see through the unfairness of the situation.
Regarding the ongoing legal challenges Trump faces, Burchett pointed out that the relentless attacks are only fueling his support base.
