Republican Senator Schmitt Demands Hearings on Chinese Economy
Senator Eric Schmitt, a member of the Republican Party from Missouri, has urged the Joint Economic Committee of Congress to conduct hearings on the Chinese economy and its economic policies. He proposed a format similar to the hearings that were held in the 1990s regarding the Soviet Union.
