A new video shows furious GOP Senators including Marsha Blackburn and John Barasso confronting the head of the Secret Service Kimberly Cheatle at the Republican National Convention.

“This was an assassination attempt. You owe the people answers. You owe President Trump answers,” Blackburn (R-Tenn.) can be heard saying in a video she posted on her X account.

Once the GOP members found out that Cheatle would be in attendance for the RNC, Blackburn and Barasso (R-Wyo.) put together a group to ask her questions in a suite at the RNC. She reportedly refused to answer and left.

The video appeared to show herself and Barrasso following Cheatle intensely through the halls of the convention.

Another video showed Barrasso and Blackburn going “face-to-face” with Cheatle, “asking for specific answers about what happened with President Trump in Pennsylvania and how that shooter was able to get off a clear shot when the FBI and SS knew that there was a suspicious person an hour in advance of when the shooting occurred.”

Also seen confronting Cheatle were Senators Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) and James Lankford (R-Okla.).

Meanwhile, Republicans have furiously called for the resignation of the Secret Service leader amid intense criticism for security at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, over the weekend. Trump was shot in the ear, one rally attendee was killed and two others were injured.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has said he will create a congressional task force to investigate the catastrophe at the Trump rally.

“She would not answer our questions. She wanted to say it was not the time or place,” Blackburn said in her video with Barrasso. “But I’ve got a message for her: she can run, but she cannot hide.”

Furthermore, a United States Secret Service (USSS) spokesperson said early Thursday, that continuity of operations was “paramount during a critical incident” and Cheatle “has no intentions” of stepping down.

“She deeply respects members of Congress and is fiercely committed to transparency in leading the Secret Service through the internal investigation and strengthening the agency through lessons learned in these important internal and external reviews,” the spokesperson added in the emailed statement.
