Ric Grenell accuses Fani Willis of lying in interview with Newsmax
According to former acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell, Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis, who filed the election interference case against former President Donald Trump, “clearly lied multiple times” during her testimony to Newsmax on Thursday.
The decision on whether Willis should be removed from the case over her hiring of prosecutor Nathan Wade, with whom she had a relationship, will be made this week by Fulton County, Georgia, Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, as reported.
Grenell expressed his frustration, stating, “I think that [Willis has] clearly lied multiple times and … there are no consequences for it. I don’t understand what’s going on in Georgia, where someone can go on a stand [and] completely lie, we see the evidence.”
He also mentioned the case involving Trump’s handling of classified documents after leaving office, highlighting the differences in treatment compared to President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Grenell emphasized that “Washington types are just out to get him.”
