RNC Chair Whatley Tells Newsmax: Voters Need a Plan

The focus of the Republican National Committee is on winning this fall, and part of that effort includes encouraging voter turnout, regardless of the method chosen, according to Chair Michael Whatley on Friday.

“In every state, we offer three ways to vote,” Whatley told Newsmax’s “Wake Up America.” “You can vote on Election Day, by mail, or early. It’s important to make a plan and ensure your vote gets counted. Whether they vote early or on Election Day, the main goal is to get people to vote.”

Whatley emphasized the strength of having former President Donald Trump as the nominee, boosting fundraising efforts and merging operations with Trump’s campaign for a unified Republican Party approach.

“Our priority is winning,” stated Whatley.

The RNC’s core missions focus on voter turnout and ballot protection.

“We’re working on ballot harvesting and early voting, with a ‘Bank the Vote’ campaign devoted to informing early voters,” Whatley explained. Efforts are also underway to attract Black, Hispanic, and Asian voters from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party.

After restructuring with Lara Trump as co-chair, the RNC has a renewed focus on the upcoming general election, shifting resources and staff to prepare for Trump’s formal nomination in July.

As the committee grows to 500 people during the election, Whatley emphasized the RNC’s commitment to winning through voter outreach and ballot protection.
