Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential candidate, released a statement on Friday that hinted at the possibility of the prosecution of U.S. Capitol protesters on January 6, 2021, being politically motivated. In doing so, he appeared to share some common ground with former President Donald Trump and his supporters.
