The 49-year-old has been charged with rape, indecent assault, oral rape, and two counts of sexual assault, as per the Metropolitan police.

The allegations involve four distinct women, with incidents reported to have taken place between 1999 and 2005, according to police statements.

It is alleged that Brand raped one woman in Bournemouth in 1999 and indecently assaulted another in 2001 in the Westminster area of London.

Police indicate that the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” actor is also accused of oral rape and sexual assault against a woman in Westminster in 2004, as well as the sexual assault of another victim from 2004 to 2005.

These charges emerged from an investigation that commenced in September 2023.

Authorities mentioned that they received several complaints after The Sunday Times and Channel 4 TV’s documentary series “Dispatches” reported on the allegations made by four women, including one rape claim that reportedly took place between 2006 and 2013.

“The Met’s investigation remains ongoing, and detectives encourage anyone who has been affected by this case, or who has any pertinent information, to step forward and talk to the police,” commented Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy.

“The women who have come forward continue to receive support from specially trained officers.”

Meanwhile, the actor and podcaster has consistently asserted that he has never engaged in non-consensual sex.

Brand’s court appearance is scheduled for May 2nd at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Additionally, he has been spotted several times at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate and has openly expressed his endorsement for Trump.
