Controversial boxer Ryan Garcia has had his career take another punch.

World Boxing Council (WBC) president Mauricio Sulaiman announced on Thursday that the 25-year-old has been expelled by the organization after Garcia went on a rant on social media where he repeatedly used racial slurs referring to both Black people and Muslims.

“Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman posted on X (Twitter).

“We reject any form of discrimination.”

The ban comes after Garcia, who has over 1 million followers, repeatedly used the N-word and said he was the “KKK” in a conversation on an X Spaces live feed which included multiple people.

Garcia posted on X before the suspension was announced, claiming that he was “trolling,” though it was unclear if he was referring to that particular conversation on Spaces.

“I was trolling I want all the killing to stop,” Garcia wrote. “I love everyone sorry if I offended you.”

“Yall gotta understand pain, deep pain by every race Bruh im hurting Love yall have a great day,” he added in another post.

Garcia defeated WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney at the Barclays Center back in April.

However, in June, that fight call was changed to a “no-contest” after Garcia was suspended for one year by the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs in a test that came to light after the brawl.

As a result, he was fined $10,000 by the NYSAC.

On June 8th, Garcia was also arrested for felony vandalism after the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills, California, claimed that he was responsible for $15,000 in property damage.
