Sen. Schatz to Block Trump’s State Department Nominees Until USAID is Restored
On Monday, Sen. Brian Schatz, a Democrat from Hawaii, stated that he would block President Donald Trump’s nominees for the State Department until the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), responsible for providing humanitarian aid abroad, is reinstated, according to The Wall Street Journal.
