Sen. Tuberville Tells Newsmax: Allowing Trans Athletes Threatens ‘Traditional Family Values’

Alabama Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville, a two-time SEC Coach of the Year, expressed his concerns about transgender athletes in women’s sports to Newsmax, stating that it is an assault on the nuclear family.

In opposition to the Biden administration’s apparent support for transgender athletes in women’s sports, Senator Tuberville told “Eric Bolling The Balance,” “This is an attack on the nuclear family and on gender.”

He continued, “I know Democrats, including those with daughters and granddaughters, do not agree with this, but they are following the party line. This is not about politics; this is about morality. This is about right versus wrong, good versus evil.”

The former college football coach called on other coaches and former players to defend women’s sports.

Tuberville criticized President Biden for prioritizing the rights of those who identify as women over the protection of biological women in sports, calling it misguided.

This discussion on Newsmax came after a “Take Back Title IX” roundtable that opposed the Biden administration’s extension of protections to biological male athletes in women’s sports.
