Senator Ernst tells Newsmax: The Border Order will not be enforced and does not solve the problem

Senator Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, criticized President Joe Biden’s executive order to halt asylum processing at the southern border when entries reach 2,500. She told Newsmax on Monday that the order “gives political cover to Biden and the Democrats” instead of addressing the issue.

During an interview on “Wake Up America,” Ernst expressed her dissatisfaction with Biden’s approach, stating that it doesn’t solve the border problem but allows him to claim he has taken action. She also mentioned that former President Donald Trump is the candidate who can resolve the border crisis in 2024.

Ernst emphasized the importance of the border issue, highlighting it as one of the top priorities in Iowa. She mentioned that the people in her state are concerned about immigration and inflation, which are the main topics discussed during her town halls.

She criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis, noting that it has not effectively addressed the issue. Ernst also raised concerns about the administration’s impact on world leaders, stating that they are questioning American leadership under Biden’s watch.
