Senator Joe Manchin from West Virginia Decides not to Run for President in 2024

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin has announced that he will not be running for president, as stated by his spokesman Jon Kott.

Manchin made this announcement in a speech at West Virginia University.

The centrist Democrat, known for defying his party’s leadership, had been considering a presidential run and had previously mentioned that he would assess the viability of a third-party candidacy by March this year.

It is also noted that Manchin will not be running for reelection in 2024, with his Senate seat in a heavily Republican state being seen as a key opportunity for the GOP.
